Butterfly Holes

↑They didn't just bring the rear wheel—they rode the bike here and removed it from the frame.

Two spokes are broken.

The valuable part of this post is here.
Recently I rebuilt the rear wheel of a 3-speed internal hub mama bike, and I wrote about the rear hub flange holes being "through-holes (round holes)."
The other type of specification is "hook-style butterfly holes," and I happened to get the chance to photograph an actual example.

Fixed.
It's not good to mix spokes of different weights, so I used DT Champion #14 plain spokes to match the surrounding ones.
It's hard to see in the photo, but the replacement spokes aren't the final two crosses on the same side.
They're both reverse spokes on opposite sides—they just look like final crosses from a side view.

Addendum and thanks:
Regarding my use of #13 shoulder spokes in the previous article, I received a comment from a fellow mechanic suggesting that using #14 plain spokes with a spoke washer under the head is also a very effective method
(they wrote it more specifically, but since it might be a trade secret, I won't go into detail).
Thank you so much! I'll keep that in mind as a reference.
