I Rebuilt the Front Wheel of the Brand That Shall Not Be Named

Another day with wheels (and so on).

A customer brought in a front wheel built with a rim from the brand that shall not be named.
The image above is already after the work was done.
I had built this wheel in the past, but the internal components of the Tuni star hub broke, so
we decided to rebuild it with a different hub.

I went with a Black Hub 20H, black CX-RAY spokes in radial lacing, and red aluminum nipples.
The previous build also had red aluminum nipples, but I didn't reuse those nipples.
The spokes became about 1mm shorter after the rebuild, so
I cut them to length and reused them.

This rim advertises that you can use aluminum rim brake shoes, but
the brake zone clearly shows stepped wear,
and it looks like it's been milled down.

Just to be clear about this:
the customer wasn't using aluminum rim brake shoes together with the aluminum rim
(like using brake shoes that had metal fragments stuck in them directly on the carbon rim).
Currently they're using brake shoes designed for carbon rims, they told me.
