Nomu Lab Wheels has been receiving inquiries and orders almost every day recently.
However, we're currently closed for business due to long-term hub shortages.
I've finally got a timeline on delivery, so I wanted to share the details.
First, regarding hubs—I mainly use 20H front and 20H/24H rear.
I was thinking about stocking up on replacement hubs (equivalent models) myself,
but various things came up and I decided against it.
The replacement hubs were supposed to arrive mid-May,
but the Tni Evolution Hub that was originally scheduled for July-August
has been moved up to late May, so I'm waiting for that instead.
The replacement hubs look the same as the originals—wait, what's going on here...?
Regarding Nomu Lab Wheel #1.
I thought rims were in good supply, but we've been building wheels with customer-provided hubs and such,
so they've been going fast lately.
For this, I've decided to use equivalent rims (Kinrin XR-300),
so going forward the standard will be wheels without the Tni sticker.
I'm planning to stock those replacement rims mid-May.
Right now we have 20, 24, 28, and 32 hole counts in stock,
so as long as we have hubs, we can build wheels.
Regarding Nomu Lab Wheel #2.
The rim is out of stock. The standard configuration was front 20H and rear 24H,
but since the 20H went out of stock, I've been building with 18H front for customers who can use it.
Right now, the distributors are completely out of stock in all spoke counts.
We're expecting to restock in late May.
The rims in the photo above are the last 18H and 24H we had set aside,
waiting for customers to bring in their hubs (stickers already removed).
Regarding Nomu Lab Wheel #3.
We have rims in stock for this one.
This rim comes in two spoke counts—front 20H (which can also be used for rear)
and rear-specific 24H. Since the 20H provides sufficient rigidity even for the rear wheel,
I've set the standard as a 20H rear configuration.
So we're waiting on 20H rear hubs.
I received a comment recently asking about the 24H rear wheel configuration.
The 24H rim is currently at the distributor.
We have a few 24H rear hubs in stock, so it's probably available right away. Please consider it.
Regarding Nomu Lab Wheel #4.
There's a reason it's been unavailable since its announcement.
The distributor's minimum spoke count for this rim is 28H,
but since we started handling 20H and 24H ourselves,
I've intentionally avoided selling it so I could recommend those instead.
The rim characteristics are like a tubular version of the #1 rim.
This is a rim I'm really looking forward to building with.
Rims are scheduled to arrive late May.
The photo above shows the 32H version.

The Tni AL22 only comes in 32H,
but the Kinrin XR-200 comes with options from 20H.
Recently I've had many opportunities to build the XR-200 in 20H and 24H with customer-provided rims,
so I decided to stock those myself too.
Those are also scheduled to arrive late May.
When I was building a wheel the other day,
a customer asked, "If you don't mind, could you put a signature from Kani Kousen (crab beam) on the rim?"
It seems my work is somehow beloved.
Since I have no artistic talent, I had to decline (sorry about that),
but I figured the shop really should have some kind of mark, so I'm working on stickers.
For past customers using wheels I've built, I'll send stickers if you want them too.
Please wait just a bit longer.
