Built Nomu Lab Wheel #2

It's my day off, but I'm still working on wheels (and so on).
I built the final stock of rims we have in the shop for Nomu Lab Wheel #2 — 18H front and 24H rear.
We're taking a break until the rims are back in stock.

The customer brought in a 7700 hub with the 18H aero slot hole spec.
Huh, so these hubs do exist somewhere out there.

Built it up.
I deliberately chose CX spokes.

Since the rider weighs in the 50kg range, CX-RAY would be plenty sufficient,
but I wanted the feel of a front wheel that won't budge no matter how hard I beat it,
so I built it with CX spokes. Well, I also had second thoughts about using CX-RAY with an aero slot hole Dura-Ace hub.
Since the person using this wheel is also primarily a sprint-focused triathlete,
I went with this setup this time, but if they were more of a long-distance athlete, I would've gone with CX-RAY.
(Building with CX really does allow you to tension them incredibly tight — you almost worry about excessive stiffness)
This kind of fine-tuning is one of the great things about hand-building wheels.

Built the rear wheel too.

I went with a 9000 hub with an eye toward 11-speed conversion down the road.
Competition spokes on the freewheel side and CX-RAY on the non-freewheel side. We're planning to lace it.

Since we're planning to glue the tire on with rim cement,
I'll probably write an article saying "rim cement isn't scary! It's not tedious either!"
But since I'm just thinking about it, I can't really ask for your anticipation.
