It Got Even Better

"It got even better."
You see this phrase all the time on convenience store pasta and sandwiches,
but if you knew you could do it that way, why didn't you do it from the start?
Were you selling it knowing it tasted bad?
And how can you claim something "tastes better" when taste is such a subjective,
hard-to-quantify thing?
—it's the kind of expression that makes you want to complain.

Anyway, about that front wheel I built the other day with intentional offset centering:

I had second thoughts and took it apart.
I see now—when spoke tension gets stressed like that, it develops a twist.
I was unsure whether to even write about rebuilding it,
but I figured this mess alone has some value as a photo, so I took it.

Call it ケサランパサラン, or
maybe it's a front wheel built with a rim that only fools can't see.

Built it. It's the same rim as before rebuilding.

Compared to before rebuilding, it got even better.

If you thought so, why didn't you build it that way from the start? → Sorry, I didn't think of it initially
Were you selling it knowing it was bad? → It's before selling, so we're safe
What does "better" even mean? → In terms of one particular measurement, it's different from before the rebuild,
but I can't tell you what that is
