A customer brought in a Roval CLX64 for service.
No photos of it unfortunately. I should've at least taken one overall shot.
Both front and rear wheels were dead center,
and the runout was so minimal you'd be nitpicking to even call it runout.
That part was fine, but when it came to installing that wheel
on the customer's Specialized bike,
I had to transfer the tire, tube, and sprocket, and
straighten the runout on the DT AXIS brand wheel that was originally on the bike
(that one had both runout and centering issues,
especially bad on the rear wheel)and
then the customer also asked me to swap out the chain while I was at it...

↑The Altegra chain in the photo is the original chain
The gold KMC chain is the one the customer brought in
Even though it's built with a 5800-series 105 11-speed component set

the chain was a CN-6701, which is a 10-speed chain.
I literally had to count the sprocket cogs on the cassette with my fingers.
Since the bike was first built at Sylvest Cycle Kyoto shop,
the customer has never replaced the chain,
so it's been in this state from day one.
When the bike was handed over, the shop mechanic said
"The groupset is 105, but I put an Altegra chain on it~"
so the customer was aware the chain was Altegra.
The customer's motivation for swapping the chain this time was
"I wanted to try a gold chain,"
completely unaware that they'd been running a 10-speed chain
on an 11-speed cassette all this time.
What a disaster. Perish!(←don't bother telling me it already has, no need for that comeback)
