Another wheel day (and so on).
Built a front wheel today with a FLO carbon WO rim that a customer entrusted to me.
The rim is 50mm tall and weighs an insane 561g—
and even if it had exceptional aerodynamics,
I don't think that would overcome the weight penalty across most riding speeds.
But the customer understands all that in detail, so
no issues there.
The rim should originally have a FLO sticker, but
this one came without one and only has a label for Echinox WH167 on the outer edge.
Spec-wise it's similar to certain Mavic models.
The hub is a KOOZER RS390 model,
laced 20H CX-RAY outpoke radial.
About this hub's shell—
it looks like Green Day's American Idiot hand grenade,
with a fist drawn in the letters POWER,
and rotating the hub shell from where it says "Power From Reborn"
gives you this—
effect.
So with this hub, "KOOZER when viewed from above" versus
"RS390 when viewed from the right side"
the shell orientation ends up reversed.
I went with the former this time.
The rim has no left-right performance attributes,
but I built it with "serial number sticker on the left side."

The customer asked me to use spokes with a larger diameter proportion,
so I was planning to build it with Hoshi Aero Star Bright III from our stock,
but we didn't have 20 pieces in the length this rim needed.
We actually already have the new Aero Star Bright in stock,
but the shortest length we carry is 264mm,
which won't work for this wheel's radial lacing (even with machining).
It would technically be possible for 4-cross, but...
For 16H or 18H I'd prefer not to use CX-RAY, but
with 20H I went ahead and built it with CX-RAY.
