Rebuilding the Rear Wheel on X7S 06⊃ヨ

Today it's wheels again (and so on).

A customer brought in wheels with the model name X7S 06⊃ヨ NO⊥S∀ヨ
(If you're viewing on a smartphone, you can read it upside down)
for repair.

Both front and rear wheels use Sapim black race straight spokes.
Despite the lightweight low-profile rim, they're built with heavier spokes
than those like Laser or CX-RAY, which have spoke mass ratios around 65%.
I only inspected the front wheel. It had slight lateral runout,
but almost no centering offset.

The customer mentioned this wheel isn't the original owner's,
but since there's no cement residue on the tubular rim,
it looks like it was used with tubular tape.
There were bite marks from the sprocket on the freewheel body,
but they weren't very deep, so
I'd estimate about one tubular tire's worth of use history.
There also weren't any brake shoe marks on the braking zone of the rim.

So, the rear wheel was really loose, and the customer asked me to rebuild it.
The customer owns Nomulab wheels (a Japanese wheel maker) and is
influenced by their wheel philosophy,
saying it's no good because the non-driveside is radial laced.
Well, honestly, I also think this rear wheel doesn't roll that well.

Done building it.

The customer wanted to know the actual rim weight, so I measured it when I disassembled it—
it was supposed to be around 280g (source unknown, unclear if that's the official spec).
But apparently it turned out heavier than expected, and the customer was pretty disappointed.
When I built the wheel, it didn't have that characteristic "super" lightweight rim feel—
that thin-ice-like risky sensation—so I figured it was a pretty robust rim.

※Often a euphemism for "heavy"

Even if it is a discontinued narrow-rim model, there is significance in publishing actual measured weights... or so I don't think lol
It's fine if only the customer and I know about it lol
↑ugh, what's wrong with this guy, so gross
