Another day at the wheel (and so on).
A customer left me with a PowerTap hub.
I built it up with a Nomlabo Wheel No. 1 rim.
The No. 1 rims are scheduled to arrive in large quantities soon.
Campagnolo on the freewheel side, CX-RAY on the non-freewheel side, laced with spoke connectors.
I managed to secure enough CX-RAY spokes in the necessary lengths and quantities to build this wheel.
As for silver CX-RAY spokes,
everything from 294mm down to 280mm is out of stock at the distributors.
Or maybe I wiped them out today.
Since our shop policy is to cut CX-RAY spokes down to a maximum of 6mm,
288mm is the shortest we can generate from 294mm stock.
So CX-RAY spokes in the 287mm to 280mm length range
might become unavailable. That's troublesome.
The hub body with some exposed carbon looks really cool.
This hub is my original inspiration for what a PowerTap hub should look like.
