Built a wheel with LWC's 25mm high carbon tubular rim

Another wheel day (and so on...).

A customer dropped off an LWC 25mm high carbon rim with me.
When I take on work like this, it doesn't get archived in the crab beam collection.
So I figured I might as well at least document it in pictures.

Got it built.

with red aluminum nipples.
I'll do the truing later.

Unrelated to wheels, but—

I found another defective CX-RAY with the butted section rotated 90 degrees sideways,
so I rejected it.
The one at the top of the image is from last time, and the bottom is the one I just rejected.

Are they messing with us?

Since both had the same pre-machined length,
I suspect this defect is likely isolated to a specific production batch from that time period,
so I ran a 100% inspection on all stock of that length,
but found no defects.

One more thing unrelated to today's wheel build:
The DT red aluminum nipples I used on this wheel too—
the distributor had been out of stock, but I confirmed today they were finally back in,
so I placed an order and they went out of stock again immediately after.
I tend to always end up buying the last one in stock,
but why is that, I wonder (playing dumb).
