Since Fulcrum's Racing Zero got the oversized rear hub right flange in 2013
（the manufacturer's official name is Oversize Flange）,
they haven't released a regular model with red spokes
（excluding the Competizione with text-printed red spokes）.
For some of the red spoke wheel limited editions,
since spare parts don't exist, the manufacturer's official answer is
to repair them with black spokes.
With the Elite 3-roller, I wrote the other day about how
the green rollers that come on limited editions have no repair parts available,
so they end up being repaired with standard red rollers —
this is a similar situation.
Even if you use Competizione spokes,
the text-printed red spokes only exist for the front and rear left,
so they can't be used for rear right repairs.
However, there's actually a workaround —
if you know red spokes with the same effective length,
it's possible to repair with red spokes.
In fact, I don't think there's a single case at our shop where
we've had to repair a 2013 Racing Zero Limited or
2014 Racing Zero Red Passion with black spokes out of necessity.
Now, what caught my attention recently is the
Racing Zero Competizione DB Japan-only original model that just arrived at our shop.
The red rim is Japan-specific, and there are both black spoke and
red spoke versions, but the black spokes are the same as the global model
so there's no supply issue there.
To write out the part numbers:
Front Left / Rear Right (shared) R0-217B
Front Right R0-216B
Rear Left R0-219B
There are 3 types
（if the rear right hadn't been shared with the front left,
the part number would probably have been R0-218B）.
These red spokes aren't listed in the spare parts catalog, but
if they were, the letter B at the end would be R instead.
This aluminum spoke has a spoke head shape that's different from previous ones,
and there's essentially no past spoke that actually fits it.
My concern was "if this wheel can only be repaired with black spokes,
that would be a real problem," but when I asked the distributor
who knows Campagnolo best in Japan about this,
they said it's available from the only distributor in Japan
that carries Fulcrum. So I got confirmation on that.
Phew, that's a relief. I really hate "unrepairable wheels," you know.
Today I stopped by the only distributor in Japan that carries Fulcrum
and Fizik and Profile and Pirelli and Crank Brothers and Pinarello
for a different reason, and I heard that this Japan-limited
Racing Zero DB is currently selling better in the black spoke version.
At our shop, we only stock the red spoke version though.
Update: I was warned in advance not to use this for so-called "fashion theft"

so these red spokes are for repair purposes only.
