The hub finally arrived.
I might never be able to go back to the bike shop now.

When I faxed in the order for this hub, I got a confirmation call right away asking,
"Are you sure about the quantity? It looks like there's an extra zero."
Anyway, this box is nice—I'll keep using it from now on.

As expected, it's not a red freehub.
That's fine though.

The 11-speed hub comes with spacers that work for 8, 9, and 10-speed systems.

↑This is the new hub shell.

One more thing about this hub.
I mentioned before that the old hub shell for 10-speed would be sold alongside the new one, but to be precise, that's not quite right.
The front hub and new rear hub went up in price, while the old rear hub stayed the same price—but the old rear hub is just existing distributor inventory, not part of this shipment.
For example, with the rear 20-hole hub, I ordered 20 units of the new version this time.
But there was a customer who said "it seems unlikely we'd ever convert to 11-speed in the foreseeable future," so I also ordered 2 of the 10-speed version.
The response came back: "The 10-speed version is sold out with no plans to restock, so we're sending you 22 of the 11-speed instead."
So "dual availability" only applies while old stock remains—once the 10-speed units are gone, they're done for good, and from here on we're transitioning to 11-speed only.
I know there's no 20-hole rear hub!
There was a wheel I asked a customer about, saying "since we can't get the Evo hub, would it be okay to build it with a Wing hub instead,"
and when I traced back through my records, that was March 1st (→here).
If they'd waited for the Evo hub instead,
it would have taken another three and a half months.
I've received a huge number of orders through comments,
but I haven't been able to reply to all of them yet.
Of course, I'm applying the old pricing to all comments received by 6/15.
It's extremely unlikely that a comment would fail to reach me,
so please bear with me a bit longer.
This isn't the kind of volume I can answer in spare moments between work.
I'm not ignoring anyone, so please forgive me.
As for the wheel backorders I've tallied so far, it's 157 wheels.
I'm guessing it'll end up being close to 200.
