Built a rear wheel with an M50 rim

Another day, another wheel (you know the drill).

Built up a rear wheel using an ENVE M50 rim.

I'll tension the spokes later.

The predecessor to this rim was the hooked "XC" that was available from 2008 to 2014,
which came in 26/27.5/29 inch sizes
with stated weights of
344/364/382g respectively.

The next generation was the hookless "M50" released from 2014 to 2017,
which discontinued the 26 inch and came in just 27.5 and 29 inch,
with stated weights of 340g and 360g respectively.

The current generation "M5" rim only comes in 25mm internal width spec,
so you might not even need to call it "M525" precisely,
with stated weights of 341g and 359g for the 27.5 and 29 inch versions respectively.
Nearly the same weight as the M50, but considering it's now a wide rim,
you could say it's a weight reduction in terms of a width-to-weight ratio, if you will.

If I had weighed the M50 rim's actual weight,
I suspect not many people would find that information personally "resonating," helpful, or something they wanted to know.
You could say the article probably wouldn't have much value.
It's a discontinued product that didn't have huge distribution numbers back then,
not like road rims,
and not many people would be trying to source this rim nowadays anyway.
I said "if I had weighed it," but of course I did weigh it.
And of course I'm not going to tell you what it was.
↑Ugh, this guy's got a bad attitude
