We're finally raising the price on Nomu Lab wheels.
I'm also announcing the price for Nomu Lab Wheel No. 8.
The last price increase was April 2nd, 2018,
and we didn't do it on April 1st
because we didn't want it to be mistaken for an April Fools' joke.
This price increase will also take effect on April 2nd, 2024.
The current pricing is
what we internally call the "Third Price,"
and for Nomu Lab wheels only,
it's still calculated at the old 8% consumption tax.
However, when we hand them over at the shop,
no customers have eaten one in-store.

For Nomu Lab Wheel No. 8 (→see here).
For Nomu Lab Wheels No. 2, 2.5, and 3,
since they use tubular rims, they don't get much inquiries,
so we'll continue with pricing based on the Third Price.
The hubs for the Third Price were calculated using
the now-discontinued Evolite hubs,
and we're currently using 660 hubs as replacements.
Actually, the 660 hubs are ¥500 cheaper each for both front and rear,
or ¥1,000 cheaper total,
so you could say that's the only part that's actually a price increase.
Nomu Lab Wheels No. 4, 6, and 7
are discontinued because rim supply has ended.
Depending on the spoke count, we may be able to repair them using
rims we have on hand for replacements,
but we've discontinued new sales.
For rim brake wheels,
we use Tni 660 front and rear hubs with 20H CX-RAY front
and 24H half-comp rear,
and for disc brake wheels,
we use Tni Revo Disc front and rear hubs
with 24H half-CX sprint front
and 24H half-comp rear,
and pricing is set accordingly.
Spokes come in silver or black,
with black spokes being more expensive,
and aluminum nipples come in silver or colored options,
with colored nipples being more expensive.
So we're listing the retail prices (tax included) for both wheels
in the most affordable combination of silver spokes/silver nipples
and the most expensive combination of black spokes/colored nipples.
These are the price floor and ceiling,
so silver spokes/colored nipples or black spokes/silver nipples
will fall somewhere in between.
Of course, we can also sell just the front or rear wheel,
so if you'd like detailed pricing, please contact us.
