I replaced the rear wheel rim on Nomu Lab Wheel #1

Another day of wheel work (and so on)... but first.

The Tni aluminum rims that were out of stock for a long time have finally arrived.
We got a lot of rims for Nomu Lab Wheel #1.
The rims for Nomu Lab Wheel #5
weren't completely out of stock,
but our in-stock supply was less than what we needed for backorders,
so we would have run out eventually.

I'll be working through the jobs
that were waiting on these rim arrivals.

A customer brought in the rear wheel from Nomu Lab Wheel #1.
The note said Nomu Lab Wheel #5,
but this wheel was originally built at another shop using
Tni AL300 rims for both front and rear, then rebuilt here,
so they may not have gone through the process of
actually purchasing a "Nomu Lab Wheel #1".

But it turns out at least the rear wheel
is actually a Nomu Lab Wheel #1.
Evolite hub, 28H,
black, half-competition, 46-spoke lace with spoke bridge,
but there's no trace of it having been previously built 44-spoke.
The front wheel is 24H, though that one was definitely built by another shop...
I've been rebuilding both wheels with good tension
from their previous build but with high precision finishing.

Both front and rear wheels hit some large gap in the road
and both rims got bent, so
the customer wanted the rims replaced.

When I aligned the new rim
at a certain angle against
the rear wheel

RIMG2719amx16.jpg
the damaged rim was bent enough that
it didn't quite touch the new one, plus
there were areas where the rim width had been crushed,
like it had been clamped in a vise.
That kind of damage can't be fixed with truing,
so...

Transferring the rim in progress...

All built up.
