Another wheel day (and so on).

A customer entrusted me with an ENVE 25 tubular rim.
They want me to build a front wheel for disc brakes with it.

This rim's stated weight has changed from 195g→215g→250g since the early batches during the EDGE era,
and this rim is from the 1.3 million serial number range with seven-digit numbering,
so it's one of the later production units.
With the early batch weight, it would be too light to use regularly,
but if we interpret it charitably, you could say it's "resistant to buckling and durable."


Built it.


ENVE hub, 24H, black half CX sprint.
On paper it reads as 4x4 reverse Italian lacing, but


because the flange holes have alternating dense and sparse phasing,
when you do 4x4 lacing it ends up more like 6x6 lacing
due to the structure.
I'll do the spoke crossing later.

This is from the same customer who had me build the ENVE rim rear wheel yesterday,
but apparently these aren't meant to be a front and rear pair—
yesterday's rear wheel has silver spokes,
while today's front wheel has black spokes.
