Rebuilt the front wheel for the Cosmic SL32

Another day of wheels (and so on).

Continuing from yesterday.
I'm rebuilding the front wheel of
the Cosmic SL32

Rebuilding it.
If it were just skepticism about the Instant Drive 360,
there'd be no need to rebuild the front wheel,
but the customer specifically requested a rebuild.

Finished building.

Revo Disc Hub 24H black half CX Sprint
laced in the 64-spoke reversed Italian pattern.
I'll do the nippling later.
From among the various lengths and quantities of black CX-RAY spokes
provided by the customer,
there were 5 spokes that were 1mm shorter
(precisely 0.8mm) than the standard 6-spoke length,
so to prioritize using the customer's spokes,
I used those 5 out of the 12 total.

Since the front and rear wheels I rebuilt this time are Cosmic series,
unlike the Ksyrium series, they're not laced
in Isopulse (radial lacing on the freewheel side).
Back when Mavic made Ksyrium wheels with Zicral aluminum spokes,
they actually did something quite elaborate—
using different spoke diameters on the left and right with aluminum spokes.

Compared to that, these front and rear wheels this time
are plain steel spokes of the same diameter on both sides
and the same spoke count on both sides, showing
a bit of attention to spoke shape and spoke weight distribution,
but otherwise they're
"pretty much ordinary wheels."

So it's not particularly difficult
to build a wheel that performs better than the original.

As a result,
we ended up with a configuration of
Nomu Lab wheel hub number 8 (rimless) +
Cosmic SL32 rim,
but here, if you could only be told one of three things—
"original wheel actual weight,"
"rebuilt wheel actual weight," and
"rim alone actual weight"—
wouldn't any choice other than
"rim alone actual weight"
be pointless?
At least for readers poisoned by this blog.

Well, I wasn't planning on telling you even that "one" thing anyway.
↑Man, this guy's got bad manners and the setup is too long
