By the way, the title isn't a typo.
For example, though it doesn't happen much these days,
when I've built 4 wheels in a single day
I'd write "built wheelsssss"
to express the repetition.

A customer brought me two pairs of the right shoe from the same model of Lake shoes.
They're identical except for whether the BOA dial is gold or silver.
Just to be clear, this doesn't mean
the customer's feet are both
the right foot shape.
Curiously, both pairs had the same problem:
the rear inside screw hole (the side closer to the crank) out of the three holes was stripped,
and the cleat mounting bolt would spin forever.
In the photo above, I'm running a M5 hole
on the first shoe through a 5.2mm drill
and tapping it for a helicoil insert.

The second pair had a cleat shim inserted between the sole and the shoe,
and the mounting bolts were longer ones.
The repair is already complete at the point shown in the photo above.
The repair procedure is exactly the same
as the article (here) that this customer apparently read beforehand.
