Another wheel day (and so on).

I took in the rear wheel from an ENVE.

This is one I built myself back in the day,
full CX-RAY 44-spoke build with anti-freewheel side lacing.
Looking at it now, the soldering is a bit rough. I'm embarrassed to say.
The reason for the rebuild is "this hub isn't compatible with 11-speed, and upgrading to 11-speed is impossible."
Tni Evolution hubs and Wing hubs each come in Type I and Type II versions.
These weren't sold concurrently but rather represent a model change from Type I to Type II,
with Type I having thin steel axles and Type II having thick aluminum axles,
and only the Type II is compatible with 11-speed.
This is because no 11-speed freehub body was produced for the steel axle models.
In the case of the Evolution hub, Type I and Type II look nearly identical on the surface,
but the Wing hub has lightening holes in the left flange on the Type I version, so you can tell right away.

Took it apart. As for rim weight,
the owner of this wheel is a rim cement enthusiast, so
there's cement stuck to the rim,
and more importantly, balance weights are stuck on for truing,
so the actual weight is probably around 300 grams.

Rebuilt it.
Hub is Tni Evolution Type II,

Spokes are CX-RAY.
Hey, you consideration guy, it's too late now. You were supposed to be in this before the rebuild.
