A customer brought in a Zonda front wheel for repair.

It got hit by a scooter
and developed lateral runout.

Looking at where the wobble was most pronounced,
I could see deformation in one of the spokes.
I loosened the nipple and released the tension—
that's the spoke shown in the image above.
I checked the surrounding spokes pretty carefully,
but this was the only one with any deformation.


Fixed.

The front-to-back deformation in the flat spoke
is pretty intense,

but what really stands out is how it's kinked
right below the spoke head.
