Rebuilt the front wheel on an Alpinist CL

Another wheel day today (and so on).

Continuing from yesterday.
I'm rebuilding the front wheel on an Alpinist CL II.

Like the rear wheel, it uses a DT350 hub with a dual-brand marking, but
when you get to the Alpinist CL II,
the hub is still 350-based,
but instead of the equal-sided 24-hole build,
it becomes a 2:1 laced 21-hole setup.
From the Nomunomu Lab wheel philosophy standpoint,
the CL I is superior even in its stock condition
and has more room for improvement when rebuilt.

As it came in,
the wheel center was
pretty noticeably off
for a front wheel.

I swapped the left-side spokes to CX Sprint
and tied in the final crossings on the right-side Aerolite spokes.

The Alpinist CL is certainly
better off with a normal equal-sided build
than that dumb 2:1 lacing,
but if we're going to call it
a true upgrade over the Alpinist CLX,
then we need to prove
the rim weight is the same.
Actually, I do have a heavier rim set aside separately,
and if performance was deliberately detuned that way...
then it wouldn't qualify as an upgrade.
I'm familiar enough with Rovaal specs to say
the CLX 50 rim is around 435g,
and the Alpinist CLX I rim is around 347g—
I've disassembled enough of them to know.
I have actually weighed this Alpinist CL I rim,
but I'm not telling you the number here.
