Nomu Lab Diary

Double Work (My Fault)

Another wheel today (and so on). But I'm not counting this one.

The Nomunlabo wheel #1 I built the other day—
turned out to have a defect in the rim during pre-shipment inspection.
I was torn between rebuilding or doing a quick fix,
but decided to go ahead and rebuild the rim properly.

This is the third time I've found the same defect,
but statistically it's extremely rare. Maybe one in several dozen.
If I rejected Alex rims at this standard,
I'd be culling maybe one in ten, so Kinlin rims are definitely superior in precision.

I cut up the rim I'd judged defective to completely shut down that voice in my head saying
"maybe I could patch it up and sneak it past someone."

Rebuilt it.
Lucky I caught it just before shipping.
