Eurus 2WAY-FIT

A customer dropped off an Eurus wheel for repair.

They got hit during a race and the rim struck a spoke, bending it.

↑It's on the non-drive side here.
It looked only slightly bent at first, but

when I released the spoke tension and let it go slack...

...you can see it's actually quite bent.
We had a spare spoke in stock, so I was able to fix it right away.

By the way, this wheel uses 5.5mm brass nipples instead of the 6mm aluminum nipples
with flats on opposite sides.
Both nipple types have the same thread size on the spoke side,
but the hole diameter in the rim is subtly different.
There used to be a clear differentiation: Shamal Ultra and Eurus, Racing Zero and Racing 1—
the latter models in each pair used brass nipple specifications.
But nowadays they've all switched to 6mm aluminum nipples.

Personally, I actually thought brass nipples had some advantages,
so I wish they'd kept that distinction...
The balance and construction of the original Fulcrum Racing 1
with Necktie aero spokes and brass nipples was truly inspired.
This Eurus still retains some of that character.
