Built a Carbon Rim with DT Hubs

Another wheel day (and so on).

As I mentioned briefly the other day,
I disassembled a DT 1900 wheel that a customer brought in.
I'm building a wheel with these hubs.
Front 24H and rear 28H.

What happens to the old rims after this, I have no idea.

Both the front and rear hubs have "DT" in their part numbers,
which I'm guessing is the manufacturer name DT.
DT was originally a spoke maker, but recently they've been putting a lot of effort into hubs and wheels.
In doing so, I imagine they either acquired an existing hub manufacturer somewhere,
or they're having hubs made somewhere and just putting DT's name on them—
but I'd guess it's probably the latter.

I suspect the actual manufacturer, who also makes hubs for other brands,
uses a different part number designation specifically for hubs supplied to DT.

The rim for the rebuild is a 50mm-deep carbon tubular.

The front wheel is complete.

Black CX-RAY spokes, anti-freewheel side radial laced.
The nipples are black aluminum too.

The rear wheel is half-comp 48-spoke laced, no twist pattern.

↑With the 28H 8-point lace where spoke heads overlap—
when I first started building wheels for sale, I used to worry about this quite a bit,
but lately it doesn't bother me at all.
The spoke deformation in the fore-and-aft direction under tension
is about the same on both sides,
so it's almost questionable whether the rim is truly centered
(though of course it is).
Normally the non-driveside can't handle this much tension.
Though I can't really convey that in a photo.
