Built an Open Pro with a Chris King hub

Another wheel day (details below).

I received a Chris King hub from a customer.
Pink anodize finish, 32H front and rear.
I'm building a wheel with this and a Mavic Open Pro CD-spec rim.

All Competition outpoke radial lacing.

↑This is still in a rough-built state, but
you can see how the spoke elbow really bites sharply into the flange.
This happens when the flange hole is small or the flange is thick.
I'm building with Competition spokes, but since CX-RAY spokes pass through,
the flange holes are probably at least around 2.3mm.
The fact that this still happens means the flange is thick.
The same thing happens with Dura-Ace hubs.
Theoretically, hubs like this are less prone to spoke elbow breakage.

The Open Pro CD (hard anodize finish)
has the brake zone in CD as well.
The image above is the rim seam, but when I dial in the Open Pro's radial runout,
it comes down to just one spot of barely perceptible radial runout at the seam.
As I work toward eliminating radial runout across the entire rim circumference,
I get it so there's no runout greater than that seam anywhere.
In terms of this precision,
I don't know of a rim better than the Open Pro.
Because it's an angular, stiff rim, I suspect there's also less rim distortion
toward the inner diameter from spoke tension.
Often when dialing in radial runout, you hit a compromise point where
localized variations in rim distortion force you to stop.
This is a very easy rim to build.

All Competition 48-hole lacing with bracing.
This hub has a right flange width in the 18mm range, so the dish is a bit tight.
Plus with equal-diameter flanges left and right and all Competition spokes (equal-diameter left and right),
I was a bit concerned about how far the non-drive side would tension in an unbraced 48-hole build.
It ended up tensioning closer than I expected.
After bracing it, the customer got to see the difference in spoke deformation before and after bracing.
