This is a continuation (→of this) of the culling story.
Today I'm culling aluminum nipples.

Ugh, what a pain.

↑Culled them out.
The grainy image quality isn't an illusion.
The nipples set aside to the left are sealed away.
I only use the nipples set aside to the bottom right.
I suppose I could hire an apprentice to do this kind of work,
but since the criteria for sorting is trade secret,
there's no choice but to do it myself in the end.
The 2 pieces in the top right (though hard to see because of the image quality) have anodizing defects.

This batch of culled pieces.
More are getting culled than kept, but there's no problem.
These are spoke accessories,
and for the nipples we actually use, we order a different batch separately.
The nipples we specially order and the culled nipples are from different manufacturers.
The culled nipples are only used on a specific rim.
Since we wheel-build with that "specific rim" very rarely,
we haven't had any issues so far.

What do I do with these.

While we're at it. Recently culled CX-RAY.

These are rare, but since we order such large quantities,
we see them periodically.
Because of these defects, I'm too nervous to order CX-RAY
in just the bare minimum amount we need.
