A customer brought in a Ksyrium 110 for service.

Mavic was founded in 1889, and released the Ksyrium on their 110th anniversary, so
it's called "Ksyrium 110"... Just kidding.
This is the original Ksyrium that debuted in 1999.

↑One of the front wheel spokes is bent.
The customer isn't the original owner, but apparently the spoke
was already bent when they acquired it.
A bent spoke takes the shortest path in a bent line shape, so
in simple terms, it has the same effect on the wheel as if that section of spoke were
actually shortened.
This wheel didn't have any major runout though.
It had been re-tensioned with the bent spoke in place.
So after replacing the spoke with a new one, the work isn't really so much
about truing the wheel as it is about undoing the adjustment that was made to compensate for the bent spoke.

I replaced the spoke.

The only one I had on hand that would fit was a silver spoke.

↑When I released it from tension, it was bent like this.
Rather than use this again, even if it's a different color, I had
no choice but to replace it with a new spoke since one was available.
