A customer brought in the front wheel from a Racing 3 for us to look at.

Before inspection, first:

The fastening screw for the ball race adjustment nut and dust cap combination

had its hex socket completely stripped, so they brought it in asking if we could do something about it.
This screw has a rounded shape below the head, so it's not a standard screwtop cap.
This screw isn't sold as a spare part on its own—
it only comes sold as a set with the ball race adjustment nut,
and the price is over 5,000 yen, extremely expensive.

It was completely mangled and there was no way to remove it with normal methods, so
we had to resort to some rough measures first.
As I was at a loss about what to do for a new screw,
a man appeared wearing an iron mask and a red blazer over a trench coat,
who said "use this" and handed me one,
so I used that.
This definitely does not mean we keep these in regular stock.

It's fixed.
As for the inspection, there was a slight wobble and the wheel was fairly far out of center.

By the way, here's the tire that was on this wheel.

The rubber on both sides near the upper edge of the bead around the center of the label is peeling off.
This area was directly below the valve, but
it seems the Michelin Pro 4 series does this.
