A customer brought in their Racing 3 for servicing.


They originally wanted a hub overhaul, but
when I opened it up and took a look, there was no wear,
so I just did a grease job instead.

I noticed the freewheel body rotation felt a bit rough,

but there was no transfer rust on the bearings or anything like that.

The pawl spring was slightly bent, so
I asked, "It's not a very expensive part — would you be okay with replacing it?"
They said the pawl engagement was already uneven and they were feeling some slippage,
so I went ahead and swapped it out for a new one.
As for the wheel check, it only had a slight wobble.
