The other day, I wrote about the anodize on Mavic's 217 rim, saying something like
"the color faded from sun damage,"
but then I received a comment saying
"About the rim color, that's not sun damage—
it's from an anodize process called
「Sunset Anodized」."

Since I have a reliable primary source (a catalog from back then) on this,
I decided to look it up right away,


and that commenter was absolutely right!

If I have reference material, I really should check it first. My apologies.
It turns out that color was intentionally produced.
