Built a PowerTap wheel with Reynolds 32 rim

Another wheel build today (and so on).

A customer dropped off the front wheel from a Ksyrium 125.
It's one we've serviced before at the shop,
with cosmetic spokes (yellow) set to 4 spokes.

The wheel got totally mangled in a race crash.
It's the front wheel, and since it's an Exalith rim,
the brake zone has distinct left and right characteristics,
and on the left side, all the spokes are completely destroyed.

Out of 9 spokes, 7 are broken and 2 are bent.

On the right side, none of the spokes are broken,
but some have bent nipples and are clearly unusable.
When we exclude anything not deemed reusable...

It's a spare rim that was swapped in previously,
so it doesn't have a serial number like "    /6000".
In this state, without completely disassembling, the hub could touch
when placing the rim against the glass standard.
If that's an issue, we'd have to completely break it down.
Anyway, the rim was potato-chip-warped, so before we even got to the spokes,
the rim was beyond reuse. As expected.



I think I had a dream about that,
but today, another wheel build project (and so on).

I built a PowerTap wheel
with a Reynolds THIRTY TWO rim.

G3 hub 24H, all CX-RAY, radial laced.
The wiring will be done later.
Based on the customer's weight, all CX-RAY 20H or semi-comp 16H would work,
so I decided there was no need to go with 24H semi-comp.

The wiring and solder joints will add a few more grams,
but this might be a record-breaking lightweight for a PowerTap hub rear wheel.
