A customer left a Racing Zero with us for service.

These are wheels we've previously worked on here at the shop, doing truing and spoke replacements,
but this time the customer wants the bearings replaced.
If I write something like "all the black ball race USB hubs are prospective pitting candidates,"
I might get complaints from certain quarters again,
but USB hubs from the black ball race era are essentially all potential pitting candidates,
so maybe it's worth doing a full bearing replacement while we're at it.
If we do it now, it should last at least until the rim wears out.

Front

Rear right
The red stuff is grease, not threadlocker.

These ones on the rear left are the main culprits causing the grinding.
For minimal repair we'd just need to replace the rear left cone and cup,
and ideally just the retainer bearing as well,
but this time we decided to do a complete replacement for peace of mind.

For reference, a cup that's just worn but hasn't developed pitting looks like this.

Both front and rear hubs have a new-bearing type of slight drag resistance in their rotation,
so please ride them a bit while they settle in.
Thanks!
