A customer brought in the rear wheel from a Racing Zero Carbon bike.

There was a chain drop incident

and a spoke snapped.

The spoke next to it is also bent.
I'm replacing just these two spokes. One of the spokes being replaced happens to be right next to the valve hole, so due to a certain circumstance (more on that later), I was able to save some work.
If you've figured out what that circumstance is from reading this far, you're sharp!

The spokes on the porcupine side all have scratches going ga-ga-ga across them,
but since there's no deformation of the spokes and the scratches are shallow, I'm not replacing these ones.

All fixed.

↑The replacement spoke
This spoke head has a marking of "three vertical lines," meaning
all the spokes in this box are the same length.
I mentioned this to the customer, and they asked,
"Um, could we use those red spokes instead?"

So I pulled off a stylish heist.
I wanted to put the red spoke next to the valve hole,
but it just so happened that one of the spokes needing replacement was right there next to the valve hole, which saved me the trouble.
If the spoke next to the valve hole hadn't needed replacing, I would have gone ahead and removed it anyway to use for the repair and replaced it with the red spoke—that's the kind of thing we do.
