A customer brought in a Reynolds Attack for us to work on.
The shop in Umeda apparently did an inspection when they sold it,
but they weren't trusted, so the customer brought it to us instead.
The front wheel is off-center.
About the thickness of a piece of paper — the kind of amount where some centering gauges might say it's OK.
The rear wheel is off-center too.
Since tubeless-ready rim tape is already applied,
I can only grab and adjust from the inside edge,
but there are clearly nipples that got stripped after leaving the factory.
Beyond just the centering issue, there's also lateral runout—
the kind of amount you'd probably notice if you light-touch the brake shoes.
It's hard to imagine a stock Reynolds rear wheel having this much off-center,
and given that this happened after they went through an inspection,
I suspect this centering error was actually created by the inspection itself — from them touching it.
Once I got the wheel perfectly centered, I showed the finished state to the customer, so I didn't take photos of that.
