There's a previous post with the same title (→here),
and an acquaintance of that wheel's owner brought in a wheel with what they said was the "same" rim
asking me to build it up for them.
But while the rim weights in that earlier post were measured at 243g and 232g,
both of these new rims are around 250g each.
In the earlier article, the rear wheel with a semi-competition build came in under 1000g for the pair,
but that's impossible with these rims they brought in.
They'd researched this beforehand,
and they want to get the rear wheel into the 900g range by any means necessary—
building it entirely with CX-RAY spokes, etc.
The earlier article touches on this too, but
we discussed whether a wheel that's just light on paper or a wheel where major and minor components are carefully considered
actually makes more of a difference in race results,
but this time they decided to go all-in with CX-RAY throughout.

Front wheel is built.

Evolite hub, 20H, CX-RAY outpoke radial lacing,

421g.

Rear wheel is built too.

Leaf hub, 24H, all CX-RAY, 46-spoke lacing with tied-and-soldered joints.
The solder joints only add about 2g.

570g.
Front and rear combined comes to 991g,
but given that a semi-competition build would add an estimated +15.5g,
we wouldn't be in the 900g range without going all-CX-RAY.
