A customer brought in a Bora One for me to work on.

Apparently they got it passed down from someone they know.
That's probably better than buying from a stranger.

Both the front and rear wheels had vinyl tape plastered all around the valve holes.

When I peeled it off, there was tape wrapped around the valve too.
My guess is they lost the old two-prong style valve bushings
and just covered it up with tape.
I replaced them with the newer pipe-type bushings.
The front wheel had almost no runout and was perfectly centered,
but the rear wheel... had some runout that looked like someone had attempted truing but gave up.
That gave me a bad feeling, and sure enough, the centering was way off.
I've been doing truing work without a centering gauge.
The customer said it probably wasn't the previous owner who did this,
but their regular shop instead.
They didn't make a complete mess of things though, so
it wasn't too much work to fix up.
