A customer brought in a Zonda rear wheel for me to work on.

It's a C17 rim, the latest model.
They said it was passed down from an acquaintance,
but some spokes are bent so they want them replaced.

↑The spokes on the porcupine direction are bent fore-and-aft,
and the spokes on the anti-porcupine direction are bent side-to-side.
There are no friction marks typical of chain suck,
and normally with chain suck only the porcupine-direction spokes
bend repeatedly. Since only these two final-cross spokes are deformed,
I think the cause is impact from the side rather than chain suck.

Fixed.

It's not a functional part, but the plastic ring
that attaches to the corner of the hub body is missing,
and there are scuff marks where it should be.
In other words, the wheel has seen quite a bit of use, but

the freebody looks brand new by any measure.
According to the customer, it had a Shimano 10-speed freebody when they received it,
so they swapped it for an 11-speed freebody,
but a Zonda with a C17 rim originally having a Shimano 10-speed freebody
doesn't make sense.
So I asked about the history,
and it turned out that the original owner
either got a good deal or made a mistake (likely the former)
and bought one set up for Campagnolo freebodies,
then installed a Shimano 10-speed freebody from their spare parts,
which the current owner then received secondhand.
That explains everything.

Doesn't look bent at first glance, but...

there is deformation in the side-to-side direction,
and at the same location as the porcupine-direction spoke

there was an impact mark, so I replaced it.
