Another wheel day (and so on).
A customer brought in a rear wheel from a Racing Zero Competizione.
It developed some wobbling from contact with a car,
and since the rim was warped, we decided to replace it.
When I disassembled the wheel, out of 14 spokes on the freewheel side, one
was clearly bent, so I replaced that too.
The Racing Zero Competizione model is actually not the CULT bearing version of the regular Racing Zero,
but rather the CULT bearing version of the Racing Zero 2WAY-FIT.
So the rim part number is the same as the current Racing Zero 2WAY-FIT,
and you can get the same rim by applying only the separately sold Competizione stickers,
but since it's a relatively new model,
the sticker supply took a bit longer than usual.
Got it built up.
I also checked the hub while I was at it, but found no particular issues,
so I just gave the outside a wash.
Next up, a separate job:
A customer brought in a Racing Zero rear wheel.
This one had the rim twisted and bent in one spot,
and when you spin it, the rim pulses and undulates at that phase.
Got it built up.
This one's hub was also fine, but radial play developed during the build,
so I tightened the bearing adjustment.
Neither of these rear wheels had the threadlocker compound occasionally seen on Fulcrum and Campagnolo wheels,
and this is related to the fact that they're using nylon nut nipples,
which became standard around the time of the rim's C17 update.
After checking the actual thread depth, I determined that threadlocker wasn't necessary,
so I don't use nipple threadlocker myself either.
The sticker has a pattern that looks like "hahaha > > >"
but only the > > > part is silver and mirror-like, so
the sticker on that part has a silver base.
