Wheels again today (and so on).

A customer brought in a front wheel built with a Mavic Ksyrium SL Reflexlite rim.

HB-M985, 32H, full CX-RAY, reverse Italian laced.
It's a wheel that was used for cyclocross, but the frameset changed from quick-release to thru-axle spec,
so the customer wants the hub replaced.
The spoke lengths are on the short side for both sides,
but I decided to reuse the spokes on the non-rotor-mount side.
You can see in the image above that the spoke extending straight down from the center is bent,

I won't reuse this one.

I extracted only the inpokes from the original hub.
Since rim cement and such are stuck on them, I clean them thoroughly first

and then transfer them as inpokes to the next hub.
I do the same with the outpokes.

By the way, I'm also swapping out Sapim 14mm silver aluminum nipples
for DT 12mm silver aluminum nipples.

In the original configuration, the spoke end didn't quite reach the slot in the nipple,
but since they'll be under more tension than before, I figured the slot should reach,
so I reused the spokes.
I considered using CX Sprint for the new spokes on the rotor mount side,
but with 32 holes and after lacing, I figured it'll work out,
so I went with full CX-RAY this time.
There have been cases where round spokes in a half-comp four-spoke build on a front wheel
interfere with the Sram disc brake body,
but with half CX Sprint, the flattened shape
makes it possible to avoid that interference.
