Today, May 13th, is Wednesday, so it's already a regular closing day,
but there's something I want to try and something I want to look into,
so I'll be taking a 3-day break through May 15th.
May 15th was supposed to be an unavoidable commitment—
a classical music concert—
but that's been postponed after all.
The rescheduled performance is next February.

The next regular concert series on June 11th is also cancelled,
and there's no rescheduled date for that one—it's just cancelled.

The status of July 16th is still uncertain,
but I'd really like to see "Pastoral" performed.
This year marks Beethoven's 250th birthday, so
Beethoven pieces have been included in every program,
but if things get postponed to next year, whether they'll
do the same thing calling it his "251st birthday" is unclear.

I wanted to go to this one too (though it probably wouldn't have worked out),
but "Maestro Toyama's Dvorák Symphonies 8 & 9" on May 21st
has also been cancelled without rescheduling.
This is a bit of a novelty program, in a way,
with Maestro Toyama being 89 years old, so the concert features Dvorák's 8th and 9th symphonies.
It only works if he's still actively performing at 89,
so it's pretty much impossible for anyone else to pull off.
Dvorák's 9th is better known by its subtitle "From the New World,"
so it's odd that they deliberately didn't use it
(though it is written small at the bottom outside the image).
They clearly wanted to emphasize the numbers 8 and 9.
If they do a similar novelty program next year,
Bruckner has a Symphony No. 0, so
you could do "Maestro Toyama's Bruckner Symphonies 9 & 0."

I'm not sure if BTHMVN is the standard way
to abbreviate Beethoven,

but there's a product line called BTHMVN 2020,
and I received a pot holder from this series from a customer the other day.
