Currently in Japan, the wholesale unit for DT spokes
comes in packs of 4 and 10, but
only Champion (the longest length) comes in boxes of 100 and 500.
Since the 4-packs have a higher unit price than the 10-packs, I normally never buy them.
At first I thought maybe the Japanese wholesalers were doing the repackaging themselves,
but since we often see situations like
"the 10-pack of the same length spoke is out of stock but we have 4-packs in inventory,"
it seems the repackaging is done by the manufacturer.

↑This is the 4-pack format.
I almost never buy these normally, but
the wholesaler gave me certain conditions where I could order them,
so for lengths 300mm and above,
I ordered about 100 to 200 bags each of silver and black,

and for my order of 600 bags total, only 297 bags came through
and completely cleared out the wholesaler's inventory.
It's not my fault that this accidentally became a hoarding situation.
Actually, if everything had come through, would double this quantity have arrived...?

↑I took this part of the bag

and threw it in a box

and ended up like this. I thought it wouldn't be many spokes since each bag only has 4,
but transferring the spokes to containers and
extracting the small packets of 4 nipples each (←this is incredibly tedious)
has taken over 2 hours.
...I really wish they'd go back to the old sales units like they used to have—
Champion and silver Compé in 100-spoke boxes,
and black Compé in 72-spoke boxes.

Just the black Compé in 301mm and 302mm alone gave me

this much. I never imagined I'd end up using this container for Compé spokes.
