Since it was a regular closing day anyway, I didn't post any announcements.

Not the 12-year-old Chivas Regal, but
I finally got my hands on the "18-year".
Setting aside the price, it's just hard to find.
Though it's not me who'll be drinking it.
Next to it is the Four Roses Black Label that I'm regularly drinking these days.

It's De Cecco fedelini pasta, and at the import food shop I frequent,
the 500g package sells for ¥240 before tax / ¥259 including 8% consumption tax.
The 1kg version at the same store is ¥517 before tax, so
oddly enough, the larger quantity only costs more by about the amount of the consumption tax.
I always wonder if anyone actually buys it that way, but
maybe the wholesale price actually has that same difference,
and they're just mechanically applying the markup.
Even if it meant lower profit margins, the per-unit price on the 1kg package
should really be brought down to at least the same level as the 500g (¥480 before tax)
or it'll just sit there as dead stock... or so I'd think.
Could it be that quite a few people buy it without even looking at the price tag?
There was a takoyaki place I used to go to regularly where
they had three sizes—large, medium, and small—based on how many balls came in the boat-shaped tray.
Strangely, the medium had the highest per-unit cost, and
even though the 3 medium pieces and 5 small pieces added up to the same number,
the latter was actually cheaper.
That would make it 30 pieces total, so
I never actually bought that quantity.

"Heh-heh-heh, don't you worry"
↑The aliens from M78 (an ultra-violent negligent manslaughter of the local population)
hardly showing any remorse before launching into an explanation of the Beta Capsule

I mass-produced a Beta Capsule-style HL-EL010 (LED light).
Since I can't make it a business, I'm not selling it,
but I made one to present to my special effects mentor.
As long as I have just one in my possession, I can make the same thing again.

↑The edge of the black-painted section varies depending on the prop or commercial version—
sometimes it's a sharp point, sometimes it's not—
but I decided to add just a slight flat edge.

However, on the second one I made the flat edge too pronounced.
In other respects too, the first one got more coats of paint
and has a thicker paint layer, so the overall finish is better.
I've decided to present the first one to my mentor.
