Built a rear wheel with Formula Crono rim

Another day, another wheel (and so on).

Built a rear wheel with an Ambrosio Formula Crono rim.

Evolite hub, 28H, black half comp, 4x lacing pattern with spoke bridging.
By the way, it's got a Campagnolo freebody.

Backtracking chronologically, there were a lot of machining debris left inside the rim,
and many pieces were larger than the valve hole diameter,
so cleaning it out took a fair bit of effort.
Separately from that, when tension gets applied to the eyelets,
some debris that's barely hanging on—not quite broken off—
can fall back into the rim,
and as I was building the wheel it started making rattling noises,
so I had to keep removing small bits of debris after the fact.

With Campagnolo Chorus and higher-grade 11-speed sprockets,
the spacer that goes in after the second spider arm from the low end
isn't the 2.2mm thick round spacers used everywhere else—
it's a 2.3mm thick pentagonal spacer instead.

And this part? I see it cracked all the time.
In the photo above it's completely shattered,
but sometimes there's just cracks in it.
Over-tightening the lockring probably plays a role,
but it seems to be a minor factor,
and often it breaks regardless.

Well, since "it happens all the time," I keep spare parts on hand.
