Grand Prix 5000 arrived in limited quantities

Continental's Grand Prix 5000 WO tires have

arrived in small quantities.
Especially for the 23C—I had been telling customers "they won't arrive until spring"
(the wholesaler said so),
but stock that was allocated to our backorder has arrived.

From the wholesaler's current shipment,
we couldn't fulfill all the backorders,
so the wholesaler still has no stock, and therefore we can't restock.

Separately, the 25C tan sidewall also arrived.
Continental calls it "Translucent,"
but it's what you'd call the tan or caramel-colored sidewall.
The tire in the image above is 700C,
but 650B sizes are also available for some gravel bikes,
and what's interesting is how 650B—originally a randonneur tire size—
is becoming popular on gravel bikes (which work like modern-day randonneurs)
with this tan sidewall tire that pairs well with traditional randonneur bikes.
It seems like despite changing times, certain tastes don't change,
or we're just repeating the same patterns. Among kids playing on kick scooters,
hardly any would know about Roller Skate Rago-Rago.

There are probably more of those than I'd expect, but
people who know about and have used Trimline (a tire made by Mitsuboshi, a company whose main business is belts and which has discontinued tire production)
and who also currently own a disc brake gravel bike
probably exist but would be quite rare.

↑This is a Goodyear tan sidewall, and
the manufacturer's designation is "Tan Color."
Tan doesn't refer to beef tongue
but the color tan (as in suntanned).

Update: I received a comment asking if it might be from "tanned leather"?
That could be right.
Both tan (the tanning process) and tan (sun exposure) have the same spelling,
and while "yellowish-brown" would be written as "tan sidewall,"
"tanned" would be "tanned color" or "tanned sidewall,"
but the manufacturer's materials show "BLK/TAN,"
which refers to the color itself—black/yellowish-brown—
so the sun-exposure interpretation appears to be incorrect.
Thank you for the comment.

This is a relatively subtle tan sidewall, but

the Grand Prix 5000's tan sidewall is a much deeper brown.
The image above looks lighter than the actual product.
As for this tire sidewall color,
it's almost the same as the old Grand Prix 3000's brown,
so if you ask me, it feels more like a reissue than a new color.
