Another wheel day (and so on).

A customer brought in a front wheel from a Roval CL50.
Besides the CL50, the customer also owns front and rear wheels for a Rapide CLX, but
the one thing they really couldn't stand
was this CL50 front wheel.
In fact, they only brought in the front wheel.
They can clearly feel how it goes all squishy and soft in corners—it's not just their imagination.

All-black Compé Race spokes with black brass nipples.
When you grab the final crossing on the tangent-laced side, it flexes,
and on top of that it makes a creaking sound.
Looking at the contact point of the final crossing, the paint was worn away.

Rebuilt.

Black CX-RAY / black CX Sprint in reverse mixed-diameter lacing with spoke wrapping,
and I've changed the nipples to black aluminum.
Even without spoke wrapping, there's far less deformation than before the rebuild,
and to let the customer see for themselves the difference
between a wrapped final crossing and an unwrapped one,
I left just one crossing without wrapping.
They've already got it, so I did wrap that last one too.
And about the actual measured weight of the rim... do you need that?
The CL/CLX 50 rim has its weight concentrated in a narrow band,
so it's pretty stable, and honestly I don't think measuring it has much point.
And even less point in telling people that for free, you know.
↑man, that's cold

Sorry for the wait!

I normally draw them fresh every time,
but this time I lazily erased some parts
from the last 4-spoke simultaneous exposure!

Anyway, please take a look at this image here!
↑stop it stop it STOP IT!
