Another wheel day (and so on).

A customer brought in the front wheel from a Roval CL50 for rebuilding.
They wanted it rebuilt from scratch.

Since it's a CL and not a CLX,
the spokes are all-black Campagnolo Record straight-pull.

When I held both hub ends and spun the wheel,
the ball races felt so rough and gritty
it was like rotating a polygon.
When I gently spun the rim, it stopped in less than 10 seconds.
The through-axle had been overtightened,
which damaged the hub bearings.
I'll propose replacing them with the customer later.

There was one spot on the rim hook where it was gouged.

Rebuilt it.

I went with half-black Campagnolo CX Sprint.
Since it's a reverse-asymmetric build with different spoke counts, the lower spoke count side is CX Sprint,
and the higher spoke count side is CX-RAY, just to be safe.
I'll do the truing later.
