WH-7900-C35-TU Customer Wheel

A customer brought in the rear wheel from a WH-7900
with a full carbon tubular rim for service.

I wrote "full" carbon because
the WO rim version of this uses a semi-carbon rim
with carbon layered over aluminum.

The manufacturing date code is KC, so it was made in March 2012.
Technically, this is the date the hub was manufactured,
and there can be a lag of several months
before it's actually assembled into a wheel.

One spoke on the freewheel side is bent—probably from a chain drop.
Looking at the repair parts catalog for this wheel,
it simply lists freewheel side 294mm / non-freewheel side 295mm,
but actually it's a left-right different-diameter spoke build (though other documentation does mention this).

The non-freewheel side spoke fits into
the B groove of Campagnolo's spoke holding tool,

but the freewheel side spoke doesn't fit.
These spokes have different geometry and weight characteristics than the CX Sprint.
The CX Sprint has a more square aero profile,
while these spokes have more of an elliptical aero profile.
The weight difference isn't as extreme as the
butted spokes from the previous post,
so if I can't get the original spokes,
I could make do with alternatives, but...

"Hey! I found the original spokes!"
RIMG1870amx15.jpg
"Nice work!"
By the way, the non-freewheel side spoke has nearly identical
geometry and weight characteristics to the CX-RAY,
so I'll repair it using CX-RAY spokes.

All fixed.
