Built up an ENVE 1-45 rim

Wheels again today (and so on).

I built up a wheel with an ENVE 1-45 tubular rim.
We stock the rim itself at the shop, but

I swapped out the sticker with one the customer brought in.

The conversion candidate for "paste on" shows "張り替え" but not "張り換え", so it seems "組み替え" (wheel rebuild) is the correct Japanese term as well.

↑This is what the sticker looks like.

Built the rear wheel.

Half-competition 4-cross lacing with cross-lacing (tied). The customer wanted black spokes, but when I explained that cross-lacing wouldn't be possible with those, they decided on silver spokes instead. Maybe "I want to try using a cross-laced wheel" is one of the motivations for customers to order wheels from our shop.

Got the front wheel built too.

I once thought about making this rim into a Nomo Lab Wheel No. 0, but I had second thoughts about whether I should give such an ultimate designation to this rim. While there's a possibility that a rim with better weight and rim height balance might appear in the future, I think this is currently the strongest rim out there.

Mounted a Veloflex Ahlenbergh (customer supplied). In French style it's "Ahlenbergh" — named after the notorious cobbled sector in the Paris-Roubaix. Wide tires have been trending lately, whether tubular or clincher. At our shop too, the Continental Grand Prix 4000S in 25C sells really well.
