Another day of wheels (and so on).

I received a Roval CL50 wheel from a customer.
They're asking for a rebuild.
Today I'm working on the front wheel.


The spokes are Compete Race, and the nipples are brass.
With CLX models, the nipples are aluminum so basically we reuse them,
but with CL models, I replace them with DT universal nipples.


All built.


I went with black half CX sprint straight lacing.
I'll do the cross lacing later.


Most shops selling Roval wheels seem to have a special talent
for stripping the gripping surfaces on the inner edge of even Roval's off-the-shelf nipples,
and I suspect that after this rebuild, those particularly talented folks
either won't be able to turn these nipples at all, or will strip them instantly.
