I received a wheel truing and centering job for the Altea, a 52mm deep rim profile wheel from Profil.

I want this rim.
Not the wheel—just the rim.
I know my preferences don't really matter here, but
this rim is pretty nice.

The Altea comes in three models:
aluminum brake zone + carbon WO rim,
full carbon WO rim,
and full carbon tubular rim.
All of them have nipples positioned on the inner circumference (the apex of the carbon rim), and since spoke tension can be set quite high, I want this rim.

It's already discontinued, but I still want this rim.

The centering was spot-on, and though there was a bit of runout, I got it cleaned up.


I want this rim.
